芬兰顶尖的科技型大学：奥卢大学

　　奥卢大学(University of Oulu)是芬兰北部城市奥卢的一所公立综合性研究型大学，是LAOTSE成员学校。世界排名在200名以内，芬兰国内排名第4。奥卢大学是一所充满活力的科学和教育基地，现有学生14，500名学生和3100名教职员工。学校的目标是改进芬兰北部的教育制度，建设顶尖型的国际科学大学。

　　奥卢大学共设有6个学院，分别是人文学院、教育学院、理学院、医学院、经济学院以及工学院。除此之外的独立机构有北极医学研究所、生物中心、电子光学研究所、奥卢信息技术中心、卡亚尼大学中心、语言中心、索丹屈莱天文台、大学图书馆、大学出版社等。

　　Oulu大学的网络科技中心获得了非常优秀的信息科技成果。大学拥有世界知名的分子生物和生物科技，该大学拥有两个国家级的研究中心。教学水平达到国家级教育体制的认证。所有这些都是靠全体的教职员工和学生共同努力得来的。

　　大学的教学涵盖9个领域，分布在6大学院里。大学侧重以下几方面的研究：生物技术，信息技术，北极问题和环境研究。奥卢市的植物园归属于奥卢大学生物系。它的主要功能就是服务于奥卢大学的教学与科研工作。同时也为其它学校的生物教学提供帮助，当然植物园也对外开放。植物园花房呈金字塔形，内有世界各地植物千余种，由于面积有限，这些植物均是从教研究学角度精选出来的。
